1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how AEE Studio handles information in Noveline. Noveline is a local-first daily writing app. No account is required to use the core writing experience.
2. Journal Storage
Your journal entries and related app preferences are stored locally on your device. Noveline does not currently provide AEE Studio cloud storage, backup, or sync, and journal text is not uploaded to AEE Studio.
AEE Studio cannot read journal content stored on your device unless you deliberately include that content when contacting support or sharing an export.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
- Noveline does not require an account or personal profile.
- We do not collect or upload your journal text.
- We do not currently use analytics in Noveline.
- We do not sell personal data.
- Noveline does not currently offer cloud storage or cloud sync.
4. Purchases and Entitlements
If you purchase Noveline Pro, Apple App Store or Google Play processes the transaction under its own terms and privacy practices. AEE Studio does not receive your full payment-card details.
The applicable store may verify limited purchase and entitlement information so Noveline can unlock or restore Pro. Pro ownership may survive a reinstall through the same platform store account. Restoring Pro does not restore locally stored journal entries.
5. Reminders and Notifications
If you enable reminders, Noveline uses your device's notification system to schedule them. You can change or disable notification permission in Noveline or your device settings. Notification delivery is controlled in part by your operating system.
6. Exports
PDF and text exports are created locally on your device. Noveline shares or saves an export only when you choose a destination through your device's sharing tools. Once shared, the destination app or service handles the file under its own privacy practices.
7. Data Deletion
Your journal remains on your device until you remove entries, clear the app's local data, or uninstall Noveline. Deleting Noveline removes locally stored journal data. Because there is no Noveline account or AEE Studio cloud copy, AEE Studio cannot recover that content.
8. Support Communications
If you contact support, AEE Studio receives the information you voluntarily provide, such as your email address, message, device details, app version, screenshots, or journal text you choose to include. We use it to respond, troubleshoot, and maintain an ordinary support history. We do not use support emails for advertising.
9. Third-Party Platforms
Noveline may rely on Apple or Google services for app distribution, purchases, entitlement verification, notifications, and device-level sharing. Those platforms are responsible for information they process under their own terms and privacy policies. This policy does not claim that Apple or Google performs no data processing.
10. Children's Privacy
Noveline is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support request, contact us so we can review and address it.
11. Security
Local-first storage reduces the journal information sent away from your device, but no storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Protecting your device with its passcode, biometric lock, and other security controls also helps protect your journal.
12. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy as Noveline changes. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably appropriate.
